From Genocide To Self-Defence: The Media’s Dark Alchemy

From the very beginning of the genocide in 2023, most of the Western media has consistently sided with the oppressors. They did not even bother to hide their agenda. Right from the start, they’ve used every unethical journalistic strategy to shift the blame and shape the narrative. It seemed as if they exist only to prevent telling the truth.

Thousands and thousands of innocent civilians have been killed by the zionist regime but the western imperial media twisted the facts completely, offered no real investigation, and buried the facts under layers of propaganda. Instead of holding those who commit genocide and their enablers to account, they exerted pressure on international platforms to silence any alternative voices, especially those exposing the truth. The role of the western media is that of a complicit ally in the genocide.

But now, with the rise of social media as a powerful force of information, the monopoly of narrative is broken. The world sees through the charade. The credibility of Western media has fallen from grace, and the global public is increasingly demanding truth and accountability.

Even their own representatives—like those at BBC, CNN and NYT and other major outlets—are now under pressure to report some part of the truth. The public do not believe these outlets profiteering from the genocide and in order to be relevant they are now reporting some truth. Even now they are covering up for their imperial masters but the dam has already breached.

The world is now flooded with the truth and there is no coming back of the zionist mainstream media. The recent reports suggest a growing discontent even within their own populations. The world is watching, and the age of narrative control is collapsing. That is why the imperial media is now against the genocide, lamenting on the killings, and are writing few articles about it. It is more out of compulsion than out of conviction.

I remember a famous urdu couplet of the great master Mirza Ghalib which in essence captures the response of those who were killed to the fake sentiments of the imperial western media now crying over the genocide.

“𝒌𝒊𝒊 𝒎𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒒𝒂𝒕𝒍 𝒌𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒂𝒅 𝒖𝒔 𝒏𝒆 𝒋𝒂𝒇𝒂 𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒃𝒂
𝒉𝒂𝒂𝒚𝒆 𝒖𝒔 𝒛𝒖𝒖𝒅-𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂’𝒂𝒏 𝒌ā 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒂’𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒂”

“𝐇𝐞 𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝,
𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐬, 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝”.

How do we react to it ?
